Blenard Azizaj was born in Albania. He studied dance and pedagogy at the National State School of Greece. After completing his studies, he worked and collaborated with Montreal Danse Collaboration (Montreal, Canada), the Linga dance company (Lausanne, Switzerland), the Steptext dance project (Bremen, Germany), and the Hellenic Dance Company (Athens, Greece).
As a teacher, he has worked for the Public School of Dance (Athens, Greece), Sasha Waltz & Guests (Berlin, Germany), the Toula Limnaios Dance Company (Berlin, Germany), the Roberto Zapalla School (Catania, Italy), and others.
He tours and performs at major international dance festivals in Germany, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Brazil, Mexico, Quebec, Luxembourg, Norway, Italy, Israel, Palestine, Jordan, Ireland, Senegal, Poland, France, Spain, and Greece.
Until May 2015, Blenard danced with the Akram Khan Company (Itmoi) and is currently a member of Sasha Waltz & Guests (Romeo & Juliet).
In his own artistic works, he bridges the gap between contemporary dance and Balkan folk dance.
