Trained at the Conservatoire National de Région de Tours and then the CNSMD de Lyon, Guillaume dances with the Jeune Ballet de France, the Ballet du Nord, and since 2001 with the Ballet Preljocaj – Centre chorégraphique national d’Aix-en-Provence. As a choreographer, he has created for amateurs and professionals alike, in a variety of contexts, from Bamako to New York City Ballet, and in the theater with Macha Makeieff. He enjoys the challenges and richness of cultural encounters. At Ballet Preljocaj, he directs the Ballet Junior, the Groupe Urbain d’Intervention Dansée, pilots educational projects in schools, as well as international cooperation programs (Mali, Niger, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Armenia). He co-wrote the text for Danse l’Europe en 2021 for Angelin Preljocaj and designed the Dance Parade performance for the Paris 2024 Cultural Olympiad. With a state diploma in ballet and a certificate in contemporary dance, in 2010 he completed the training for the Conservatory Director’s Certificate (Certificat d’aptitude aux fonctions de Directeur de conservatoire) in Paris. Guillaume joined Dance Area in August 2025 as co-director, in charge of the Danse-Études section, Formation Supérieure and Jeune Ballet.
